Specimens of Memory -In my palm-
2025.7.16-7.22 日本橋三越本店6階 アートスクエアThroughout my practice, I have presented several series centered on the theme of “memory” —
the memories of the self, of others, and of life itself.
What connects them all is my attempt to embody the emotions that dwell within memory
through the meditative act of wheel-throwing and the tactile medium of clay,
transforming them into abstract forms.
Through the unfixed images residing in each work,
I hope to awaken the memories that lie dormant within the unconscious,
and to offer a moment for viewers to reconsider the essence of things.
In this exhibition, I present mainly the palm-sized works of the ReCollection – In my palm series,
alongside regular ReCollection pieces and works from the Archē series,
which explores primordial memories.
Like quiet specimens, these small works rest still—
and I hope they may gently touch the depths of your own memories.
